“Ma’am, Client keh raha hai ₹2,000 mein website ban jaati hai.”
Aaj meri team ke ek executive ne mujhe kaha:
“Ma’am, client bol raha hai ki ₹2,000 mein website ban jaati hai.”
Maine kaha:
“Bilkul sir, ban jaati hai.”
Agar aapko sirf ek digital visiting card chahiye, jisme company name, phone number, address aur 4–5 basic details ho, toh ek simple one-page website ₹2,000 mein bhi ban sakti hai.
In fact, maine client se kaha:
“Aap chahein toh ye ₹2,000 bhi hum par spend mat kijiye. Aap khud bhi bana sakte hain.”
Lekin phir maine unse ek simple sawaal poocha:
“Agar har business owner sab kuch khud hi kar lega, toh experts aur professionals ki zarurat kyun padegi?”
Agar market ka concept hi ye ho jaye ki:
“Website khud bana lenge.”
“Marketing khud kar lenge.”
“SEO khud kar lenge.”
“Sales khud kar lenge.”
“Accounts khud sambhal lenge.”
“Production bhi khud kar lenge.”
…toh phir business ecosystem chalega kaise?
Think about it from another industry.
Ek farmer seed khud lagata hai, crop grow karta hai.
Lekin kya iska matlab ye hai ki woh:
- khud tractor banaye,
- khud fertilizer manufacture kare,
- khud packaging kare,
- khud transportation kare,
- khud retail store chalaye,
- aur phir khud hi apna product consume kare?
Nahi.
Because business works through a supply chain of expertise.
Everyone contributes their expertise to create value for someone else.
The same applies to digital marketing.
A website is not necessarily the product.
A website is a tool.
The real question is:
What is the website going to do for your business?
Will it:
- build credibility?
- generate enquiries?
- support your sales team?
- rank on Google?
- showcase your products or services properly?
- help potential clients trust you?
- generate B2B leads?
- support your advertising campaigns?
- create a professional digital presence?
Because there is a huge difference between:
“Website bana dena”
and
“Business ke liye website ko strategically use karna.”
This is where experience matters.
When you work with an experienced team, you’re not just paying for someone to put a website online.
You are paying for:
Experience + Strategy + Execution + Team + Time + Responsibility
There are people who have spent years understanding:
- how customers search,
- how businesses make buying decisions,
- how B2B buyers evaluate suppliers,
- how websites should communicate value,
- how SEO works,
- how enquiries are generated,
- and how digital presence supports sales.
That experience has a value.
And this applies to B2B sales too.
Many times, a client says:
“Sir, ye kaam toh hum khud kar lenge.”
Of course, you can do it yourself.
The question is:
Should you?
A business owner can learn SEO.
A business owner can learn website development.
A business owner can learn Meta Ads.
A business owner can learn Google Ads.
A business owner can learn content creation.
But while learning and doing all of this, who is running the actual business?
That’s the real cost we often forget:
Opportunity Cost.
Sometimes saving ₹10,000 on a professional service can cost you much more in:
time + mistakes + missed opportunities + lost enquiries + delayed growth.
So my point isn’t that every website should cost ₹50,000 or ₹1 lakh.
No.
Every business has a different requirement and budget.
A ₹2,000 website can be perfectly fine if your requirement is only a basic online presence.
But if you expect the website to become a serious business tool that supports branding, SEO, lead generation and sales, then the conversation has to move beyond the price of the website.
Don’t compare the price of a website.
Compare the value of the outcome.
And perhaps the biggest lesson from today’s conversation was this:
“If you are only buying a website, compare prices.
If you are investing in business growth, compare expertise, strategy and results.”
That’s the difference between buying a service and investing in a solution.
— A real conversation from my day in digital marketing & B2B business.
